16 DDR4 DIMM slots (8 channels per CPU, up to two 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable, up to 32 cores). RDIMM only (registered ECC DDR4 only, no LRDIMM). Up to 1 TB (1024 GB) total, max 64 GB per DIMM. All Dell-validated DIMMs are 3200 MT/s rated (8/16/32/64 GB); operating speed is CPU-dependent per the technical guide processor table: 2666 MT/s (Silver 43xx), 2933 MT/s (Gold 53xx), 3200 MT/s (Gold 63xx). Reduced config vs parent R650 (which has 32 slots + LRDIMM/PMem).
