How we verify catalog data

Every specification in the RamQuote catalog carries a verification status. This page explains what the labels mean and how the data gets there.

Multi-source cross-checking

Specifications are extracted from really-fetched sources, manufacturer datasheets first, then OEM documentation and independent distributor listings. A field is marked verified only when independent sources agree. Two pages copying the same datasheet count as one source, independence matters more than count.

The datasheet anchor

A field confirms with fewer sources when a manufacturer or OEM datasheet backs it. Distributor-only consensus needs more independent agreement before it publishes. Conflicting sources never auto-publish: they are held for human review.

The human gold layer

Fields verified by a human during real trades or manual review are locked and take precedence over machine confidence. Machine passes never overwrite human-verified values.

What we do not claim

Interchangeability and server-fit notes are based on matching JEDEC specifications and OEM documentation, not per-server testing. Always confirm against your server vendor's qualified parts list before ordering.

Spotted an error?

Every module page has a "Report an error" link. We check reports against manufacturer documentation, usually within a business day.
